KITCHEN
Dishes
* Pour 1/4 cup vinegar to your dishwasher rinse cycle for streak free, sparkling
dishes everytime!! If you do dishes by hand, sometimes glasses seem to have
a sour smell. A little vinegar in your rinse water will help get rid of it.
Stove
* To clean your stove use baking soa as a cleaning scrub. Do not allow the electrical
wire connections to get wet. If possible pull out the stove burners from the
stove top. If your stove has burnt food stuck on it then first wash them with
warm water and dish soap. For stubborn stains allow the paste of baking soda
and water to sit for 30 minutes. Finally rinse your stove burners with clean
water.
Appliances
Coffee maker should be cleaned regularly to retain the taste and aroma of the
coffee. Never use soap to clean the coffee maker. Use warm water to clean the
machine on daily basis.
Sink
* If you do your dishes in the sink then it is important that you clean the
stainless steel after each time you clean dishes. After you are done with the
dishes scrub the sink with warm water and dish soap. To prevent the sink from
any kind of water stains wipe the sink with a clean rag or paper towel.
* To clean an old stained sink, pour a half cup of salt in it and then scrub
it with a lemon thuroughly. Let it stand for a few minutes and rinse.
TOILET AND BATHROOM
Toilet bowl clean up
* To clean your toilet use bleach. Spread bleach in the bowl with a toilet
bowl brush and let it sit for 10 minutes. You can use AJAX to clean you toilet,
it leaves the bowl sparkling clean and fresh.
* The easy way to disinfect the shower curtain is to wash them on gentle cycle,
put few drops of lemon essential oil or white vinegar.
DOORS AND WINDOWS
Glass doors
* The easiest way to clean your windows, tables with the glass top or mirror
is to use the solution of vinegar (not apple cider) and water. Prepare a solution
of 1/4 cup of vinegar and quart of water in a spray bottle. Use it every time
you clean your doors or windows.
HOUSEHOLD
Copper Cleaning
* To clean your copper candle stands, lamps, shades, door handles or any decor
piece use ketchup. Use an old tooth paste to clean the copper item with tomato
ketchup. Let it sit for 5 minutes with ketchup on it before the final rinse
with water.
Garbage cans
* You can clean the garbage cans with the dish soap. First rinse the garbage
can with a hose and use dish soap or laundry detergent to remove the stubborn
satins of food inside of the can. Use long brush to scrub down the can. Rinse
it finally with clean water and let it dry before using it.
Furniture
* To sparkle you furniture use lemon juice and vegetable oil. Wipe down your
furniture with a clean cloth to dust the dirt and then apply the solution to
give your furniture a new look.
* To remove the dust from the fabric sofa would be first vaccuum the sofa
lightly and then simply wipe down the sofa with a clean damp micro fibre cloth
to get the finest particles of dust.
* To remove dog and cat hair from the furniture take a damp rag and wipe the
furniture.
COMPUTER EXTERIOR CLEANING
Keyboard
* Use micro fiber cloth to clean your keyboard. You can also use ear swabs
to clean between the keys. Use ammonia and water in half half mix to clean the
dirtiest portions of the keyboard.
MISCELLANEOUS
Cob webs
* If you are planning to clean cob webs then your first step should be covering
everything on the floor to prevent them from getting dusty. Use ladders to reach
to high ceilings. Remove cob webs from the walls and the ceilings with a broom.
Use clean rags to reach lower walls. Make sure your rags and broom is completely
dry.
Refridgerator
* Cut lemon into half and put it in the fridge to eliminate any kind of odor.
Mini blinds
* Clean mini-blinds with a dry mitt like Grab-it mitts. For thorough cleaning
of the blinds, take them off the wall and hose it down. Use can also use sponge
and mild detergent to clean tough stains from the blinds.
FLOORS AND WALLS
Floor
* The best way to clean the floors is to first sweeping the floor and then
vaccuuming the floors. Then make a solution of your favorite floor cleaner like
Simple green and water to mop the floor.
CLOTHES
Laundry
* To freshen up your laundry use essential oils. Take a piece of clean cloth,
put 2-3 drops of Lavender or lemon oil on it and drop this cloth along with
your clothes in the dryer to get fresh and clean results.
