Some satellite receivers already provide an interface (USB2, Ethernet, others) to transfer recordings to a PC. Most of the time these recordings are stored in very simmilar formats (MPEG-Transport Streams). For some receivers there exist applications which transfer recordings directly from the receiver harddisk into the PC.
With DVR-Studio you can edit these recordings and demultiplex them to MPEG video and audio streams compatible with most DVD authoring software.
