Published when Morley was 27, Parnassus on Wheels is the story of
Roger Mifflin, an itinerant bookseller who travels through rural
areas in a horse-drawn wagon named "Parnassus" selling books to
farmers. Roger is dedicated to his trade. "When you sell a man a
book, you don't sell him just twelve ounces of paper and ink and
glue," says Roger, "You sell him a whole new life."
