Hippocrates (460-377 BC) - A Greek physician commonly known as the Father
of Medicine. Although little is known of his life, he is thought to have
been a man of high character and moral standards. His medical ethics
survive today as an oath administered to those entering medical practice.
On Fistulae (400 BC) - A treatise on the causes and cures of fistulae, an
abnormal hollow passage from an abscess to the skin. One of the writings
which comprise what is now referred to as the Hippocratic Collection.
