Aurelius, Marcus (121-180) - Philosopher and Emperor of Rome (161-180) who
is remembered as the most noble of the pagans and the most eminent of Stoic
philosophers. Aurelius was hostile toward Christianity yet his philosophy
came closer than any other heathen system to that of the New Testament.
Meditations (166-175) - Focuses on Aurelius' belief in Stoic Philosophy
and includes a collection of his perceptions on practical morality.
