Shakespeare, William (1564-1616) - English dramatist and poet widely
regarded as the greatest and most influential writer in all of world
literature. The richness of Shakespeare's genius transcends time; his keen
observation and psychological insight are, to this day, without rival.
A Lover's Complaint (1609) - A poem of questionable origin. It was included
in the first edition of the Sonnets of Shakespeare, but its legitimacy as
a part of his canon has since been generally refuted.
