Laws of Manu (Hindu) (1500 BC) - The oldest book of the Hindu Religion. The
"Laws of Manu," (also called the "Code of Manu") was more a code of ethics
than an actual set of legislative laws. Manu was the mythical ancestor of
the Manava tribe (or school) of Brahmans near Dehli. Represented as the son
of a god, it was believed that he received his laws from Brahma himself.
