Cicero, Marcus Tullius (106-43 BC) - Rome's greatest orator, philosopher,
and rhetorician, he developed a style of speaking that was emulated for
centuries thereafter. Cicero was influential in the development of Latin
as more than just a utilitarian language.
The Last Oration Against Marcus Antonius (44 BC) - Also called the
"Fourteenth Philippic." Cicero attacked Servilius for not calling Antonius
an enemy. He also objected here to the relinquishment of the robe of war.
