Ghost Story (1903) From Sketches New and Old, Ghost Story is a tale of the supernatural wherein an unnamed man spends a rainy night in the locked room of an old, empty building. He awakens fearfully from his sleep to groaning sounds, muttered sentences, smothered screams, and the feeling of his bed covers being pulled from his body.
