Doyle, Sir Arthur Conan (1859-1930) - Scottish-born English writer known for
his detective stories based around the character of Sherlock Holmes. Doyle
was a physician before gaining fame as a writer and, in his later years, he
devoted most of his time to the study of spiritualism and the occult.
The Adventure of the Devil's Foot (1910) - Holmes tries to discover the
reason for a woman's death and the brain damage of her two brothers
thought to be caused by demons.
