Doyle, Sir Arthur Conan (1859-1930) - Scottish-born English writer known for
his detective stories based around the character of Sherlock Holmes. Doyle
was a physician before gaining fame as a writer and, in his later years, he
devoted most of his time to the study of spiritualism and the occult.
The Adventure of the Creeping Man (1923) - A professor is attacked twice
by his devoted wolfhound. Holmes must discover the reasons for the attack.
