Tell All Your Friends Reviews

Tell All Your Friends - Best Release of the Year
Taking Back Sunday bring a mixture of styles to the table on "Tell All Your Friends". Lots of people compare the band to Thursday, but the only real similarity that I can see between them and TBS is that both bands use screaming. While Thursday can be described as hardcore, you can't quite put a label on what TBS does, which is somewhere in between emo, hardcore, punk, and even pop. "you know how i do" starts the album off well with the dual vocals in the chorus and towards the end that sounds really cool. "Bike Scene" is a bit slower, not by much mind you. "Cute Without the 'E'" is probably the best song on the record and one of the two singles. "There's No 'I' in Team" really plays off the dualing vocals of lead singer Adam and guitarist John. "Great Romances" is my favorite song. Its got an awesome intro complete with strings. "Ghost Man" starts with a haunting guitar riff and creeps along to the chorus where it peaks with screams of "it's a campaign of distraction..." "Timberwolves" has a nice bounce and Adam almost talks out the words. "The Blue Channel" starts in with a piano then cuts in with quick guitars and punchy lyrics. "You're So Last Summer" is a slow paced number which has cool lyrics ("She said don't/don't let it go to your head/boys like you are a dime a dozen/boys like you are a dime a dozen she said/") The album closes with "Head Club", a quick paced little ditty that ends "Tell All Your Friends" properly. All in all, I must say that Taking Back Sunday's "Tell All Your Friends" is a good album for fans of bands like Finch, Thursday, Brand New, The Starting Line, and anyone who just wants to rock out to an awesome cd!

This is even better than The Used!!!
I bought this CD after i saw the video for Great Romances on MMUSA... these guys change it up sooo good

1. You know how I do: 5/5 easy to play on guitar, catchy sound, awesome lyrics (best lyric: We wont stand for hazy eyes anymore)
2. Bike Scene: 4/5 cool, kinda sounds like Blink-182's "Anthem" at first.. (best lyric: maybe your best bet or your best ex)
3. Cute Without The "E": 5/5 AWESOME SONG, it has catchy sounds, easy to play, great lyrics (best lyric: do you want me to pull the trigger, just as long as this thing is loaded)
4. There's No "I" in Team: 6/5 best song on CD, awesomely great lyrics (best lyric: best friends means i pulled the trigger, best friends means you get what you deserve)
5. Great Romances: 4/5 first single... ok song altogether... not one i skip to on my CD (best lyric: september never stays this cold)

10. Head Club: 2/5 BAD SONG!! its really boring.. has some cool lyrics though... (best lyric: dont scream my name out your window im leaving)

Great CD, lots of harmony and some screaming... i listen to it alot

Outstanding
A friend of mine introduced me to this band last year when I was deployed overseas. I couldn't get their music out of my head since. I bought it online and tore into as soon as I got my hands on it. There isn't a boring song throughout the entire disc. This is an awesome CD, period.

good emo
for all you who say this cd is whiny and girlish, well, it is EMO. duh. so if you dont like that aspect, dont whine about it on here. Anyways, TBS is a great emo band with big things in store for them, as there style is a bit different from most other bands which makes them even more unique. both singers are good, the guitars fit the music well, the drums are okay, the bass is average, but all in all the music comes together. so may make fun of you for being "emo", or whatever for listening to this , but i love bands like in flames (old stuff) children of bodom, arsis, killswitch, the bled, as i lay dying, unearth. god forbid, all that remains, and a score of other metal and HxC bands. so there is no shame in listening to this music. buy it, u will like.

Only the greatest album ever
This is truely the best CD you could buy. Taking Back Sunday brings a new and edgy sound that is sure to impress you. if i could, I'd give it a milion stars. BUY IT NOW!
Taking Back Sunday draws forth images of what would be born of a marriage between Thursday and Saves The Day. The songs feature passionate, heartfelt lyrics that any listener easily identifies with. In December 2001,Victory Records signed Taking Back Sunday and put them in the skillful hands of producer Sal Villanueva and engineer Tim Gilles (Thursday's 'Full Collapse'). The result is a beautiful blend of passion, emotion and sincerity that is unrivaled in the budding emo-rock scene today. "Tell All Your Friends" is truly destined to be one of the breakout albums of 2002.
