Some Kind Of Wonderful

Reflection Eternal (Train Of Thought) Reviews

Get on the
Reflection Eternal's Train of Thought is a masterpiece of musical artwork. Kweli and Hi-Tek go against the grain of todays commercial, champagne, superficial rappers and take you on a thought provoking journey. Underground smash "Move Something" demonstrates Kweli's top notch flow. "Love Language" featuring Les Nubians an ode to love is phat. Story telling skills are key for any emcee and Kweli proves he's got them in the albums final cut, "For Women." He vivdly describes the lives of different women represented in the world today. "Down for The Count" a song featuring X-to-the-Z and Rah Digga is the mnost commercial this album gets, the track's bangin! Overall, Hi-Tek and Kweli have created a work of art. This album is for anyone who wishes to have substance filling their musical appettite. No image based "bling blinging" it's all about the Love for the music and respect for the art called hip hop. One of the best albums I have ever heard. Even the carefully written lyrics by Kweli are on display inside of the album sleeve so you can actually physically read his insightful lyrics. Anyone with a brain and a beating heart should cop this disc. For real. Kweli puts the "kwalee" in quality. Don't get the new Limp Biscuit or any of that other garbage get this it will expand your mind and taste in the quest to hear real hip hop. According to Kweli "if you can talk you can sing, if you can walk you can dance." This album is too hot to touch.
This is the best hip hop album I heard in a long time. Talib Kweli is an incredible MC who's dropping his rhymes over Hi tek's Faboulous Beats , It a perfect team. Talib Kweli is a really smart person , and his lyrics really makes you think. It's like he really has put down his Whole Soul in this Project (Reflection Eternal)

The album starts with an improvisation of Nelson Mandela On "Introduction" . Then the album really starts of with "Move Somethin" This song is very good i love the first rhymes. Then its "Some Kind Of Wonderful" which also is a good song, but not one of the strongest. Then its time for "The blast" a really soft beat , I love it, and Kweli's rhymes are great. Vinia Mojica is guesting at the end of the song, and you also her some of Hi tek. Thenm it's time for "This means you" where the guest is no one lesser then Mos Def himself. I mean , Can it go wrong? well no in this track anyway . it's a great tune with a fresh Chorus. Then it's time for one of my favourites on this Album, "Too Late" , is what the tune's called . The beat is Incredible , and Kwelí as usual drops Soft Lyrics to it. I LOVE IT! ...where were you the day hip hop died?... "Memories Live" is the next tune. it's not the best but its a good song and the ..bring it back sweet memory.... in the backround is great... and kweli's lyrics are good , Hmm no this is a great tune after all. "Africa Dream" is a relly nice track with great african drums in the beggining. I love this one. The beat after the drums is great and Talib is at his best! . the nest tune is "Down for the count" it's a good track , but I don't think that this belongs on this album...my opinion. then its time for "Name of the game" it's only 1:51 long and kweli's is telling the name of the game. Then it's time for "Ghetto afterlife" , maybe the greatest track on this album. And Kool G Rap is guesting. What more can i say it's great. "O my way" is just a little singing by Vini Mojica . its a soft short tune. "Love language" is a incredible track. and the other part without lyrics "Love speakeasy" is SOFT. Then its time for " Soul rebels" with de la soul , it's really great! "eternalists" also greay , and kweli's showing off his great rhyming skills again. "big del" is not so good at all. "touch you" is really soft and he's guested by Piakhan and Supa Dav West, GREAT RHYMES. then it's time for "expansion outro" with "for women" an incredible track whre he's telling us abouta meeting with a woman at the age 107. and they get into a conversation.....GREAT!

So i recommend everybody who likes Hip Hop and Rap To buy this album. You wouldn't regret it . Talib Kweli is incredible and so is hi tek

Train
A masterpiece not one dissapointing track all the tracks are excellent specially the one with kool g rap. grab this cd immiedietly a true classic for true Hip-Hop heads.
There is nothing else to describe this CD. Talib is one of, if not the best MC. Hi-Tek's beats are tight thruout this entire cd. Classic.

This is real HIP HOP
i first saw talib kweli do his performance on chappelle's show and i thought he was very skilled. so around a year later, i heard "africa dream" in my music class and i was extremely into it. that is without a doubt my favorite track on this album. many other tracks on this album prove kweli to be a skilled mc and lyricist, very poetic and doesn't swear in every sentence (ludacris). him and mos def make an amazing team, when they're together they're unstoppable. if you're just getting into kweli, or mos def, check out black star, their group together. great album, great rapper.
