My favorite band
Nothingface is my favorite band for a number of reasons. Matt Holt has by far the best singing voice in the hardcore genre AND the best screaming voice in the genre. Second, the riffs that Tom Maxwell comes up with are absolutely mind-blowing. They are so complex and extremely catchy. This is one of the only bands that can go from absolutely sick & brutal parts right to very melodic, almost hypnotizing soft parts. This album is absolutely amazing, and Everyday Atrocity(if you can believe it or not) is even better. I was slightly disappointed by violence because matt's screaming voice isn't as brutal but the songs are still as well written as before.....And they are mind-blowing to see live, I've seen them 3 times and my mouth is watering for more...Go out and buy this CD then listen to it for a while, you will be amazed. You won't think it can get any better....then buy Everyday Atrocity, and listen to, what I believe is the best hardcore album ever.
Nothingface=nothing else compares
I never really heard of Nothingface before. I heard the song "Sick" a couple of times and one day I decided to buy a Nothingface album. I ended up buying Pacifier. I loved the music but it took me awhile to catch on to singer Matt Holts brillant lyrics. The songs, "Undercut" my personal favorite, and "Hitch" very catchy riffs, and "Pacifier" all around masterpiece! Matt Holt can sing, scream, and write excellant lyrics. Tom (guitar) and Bill (Bass) are just excellant musicians. Chris the drummer on this album did a great job as well. But I suggest buying Skeletons first! But this one is a must. And when it comes to this album, I only disagree with one of Holt's lyrics "Take my saviour, take my pacifier." I need my Pacifier!
A good debut album
This album is good but it could of been better. It could of used better production. But its still cool. Nothingface is my favorite band. But this is not my favorite album. I suggest buying "VIOLENCE" or "EVERYDAY ATROCITY" first, then get this.
Eh.
These guys are rather overrated in the underground metal category. This really isn't good and their others are not much better, if any. For good underground metal, try Nevermore. For some metal that is more like this, get "Awake" by Godsmack or "Iowa" by Slipknot.
Decent, but not great
This album is good, but One Thing is the only standout song on it. Get their other albums first, cause the production and song quality is far superior.
