My fav. band
Plus one has been my favorite group for the past couple of years. When I first heard The Promise I thought "I have to get a copy!" So I did. I listened to that for about a year before getting Obvious for Christmas 2002. Now I know all the songs by heart! I have to admit my sister and parents hate this CD. But they don't care if I get my head phones and listen to it. The great songs are Camouflage (an energetic song about not hiding our faith from others), Use me (a song that says how we want to be used by God), Let me be the one (this one tells us how much God wants to lead us and protect us and help us get through), Under the influence (this song is a broadcast that we love God and how he helps us to become more than we are), You (this song talks of a person who thought he didn't need God but found him and realized how wrong he was), I don't care (this song says that we don't care what others think of our faith but that we will do whatever God wants us to do), Kick me (this song tells the Christians that put others down because that other person has made a mistake to not blame them because they themselves have stumbled down the path and taken a wrong turn), Going crazy (this song tells how hard life is without God and His guidance and how we can't live without Him), Start to fly (this song is meant for people who don't have a deep enough connection with God and not enough faith and how they shouldn't give up because what's happened in their past), Calling down an angel (this is for those who have doubts about God and how He's going to help them find that He is true), Forever (Forever is a long time to be without you in my life, I wanna keep you by my side 'cause forever is a long time. The chorus), and Who am I? (Who am I without God? What could describe it better?). And ten of these great songs are written by the band members. I think anyone from about age 8 to age 20 will love this (provided you're christian).
It Is NOT The Plus One from THE PROMISE!!!
I was very much surprised when I got the Obvious CD and it turned out so much different. I had doubts about it, but now I think it's awesome!!! It's a little bit on the heavy music side, but the choruses are COOL!! I LOVE IT!!! The songs are all wonderful! The 'Going Crazy,' I Don't Care,' and 'Kick Me' songs are really good, if you like that kind of music. I do, and no matter how heavy the songs are, the message is great. I feel that way sometimes too. The songs 'Who Am I,' 'Forever,' 'Calling Down an Angel' and 'You' are more of what one would call the younger Plus One band. Light and beautiful. I totally fell in love with all of the songs!!
I hope you all get to hear it, and I hope it touches you like it did me.....
This is just what people need.
In this world nowdays people don't care about God and that he created them and don't even give God a chance you should because he can really help your life so I encourage anyone that isn't going to church or doesn't know God to read this message. And get this CD it has great songs and the words are just magical and make you feel good plus is a good way to help you just know how much God loves you!
Biggest Fan
Ever since Plus One came out, I've been their biggest fan. I liked their first CD "The Promise" but "Obvious" was much better. The songs "Forever" (which i listen to almost everyday), "You", "Let Me Be The One" and "Who am I" are great if you like NSYNC And Backstreet Boys.
I giv this favorite CD of mine 5 stars!
Does music get any worse?
As if the Backstreet Boys and N' Sync weren't awful enough, there had to be this Christian version of that style that's just as bad. Plus One rips off all the worst parts of boy bubblegum pop. They're all image, no substance, and can't sing at all and write hardly any songs. Avoid any Christian music version of boy band pop and get U2's "The Joshua Tree" instead.
