Melvin Flynt - Da Hustler Reviews

Nore ripped it so nicely in this album ! You must buy this 1
This is noreaga's best work as an artist. You can't top this cd because it's one of those cd's that you can listen to track by track and love everything that nore's got to say. He's rhymes are the tightest ever and he just make people want to listen about his life and how he went from being broke to making money rapping now. It's an album you must cop! Better get it now, its the hottest records ! peace !

Noreaga= Melvin Flynt Da Hustler
Noreagas second solo album "Melvin Flynt Da Hustler is nice but not as nice as "N.O.R.E.". Album starts off with the track "Sometimes" which is a solid track talking about the loss of friends, family, and the losses hiphop has suffered, one of my alltime favourite Nore tracks. "Gangstas Watch" and "Hustla" are decent Nore tracks and Nore follows his formula. "Cocaine Business" has crazy beat, and is for the streets. "Blood Money Part 3" is another ill track where Nore talks about NY. After this the track quality goes down, and though the album started really strong it ends on a low note with tracks that are no better than average. Production and guest appearances are one reason why this album faltered a bit, the guests that did appear like Juvenile were straight wack. However the tracks that are good on it, have really good replay value. 3 1/2.

better than God's Favorite, wacker than NORE
good album. my favs are "Sometimes", "Da Hustla", "Blood Money 3" and "We Don't Play That". worth checking it out

N.O.R.E. at his finest
This was the first N.O.R.E. cd I heard 4 years ago, and to this date, it is the best work he has made. This is before all the commercial bull----. His lyrics are cutthroat and unique. I recomend this cd to anyone who has a true understanding for true hip hop. Track #2: Sometimes is my fave. Pick this cd up!

what a mess
this album really (isn't good). His debut "N.o.r.e" blew the roof off for Noreaga but now with "Melvin Flint" he falls off completly.
This album is long, boring and Nore's skills are gone. "Oh No" makes for a good single but the album is overflowing with filler."We thugged out" marks the downfall of Swizz Beatz's winning streak for the late 90's. Its just a very sad album. Its sad that "Sometimes" (one of my favorite Nore tracks) is on this a part of this mess. Nore on many occasions apologized for this album... i dont blame nim
The best description of Noreaga is supplied by the man himself: "I ain't never going to be a crazy lyricist... but I know how to make gangsta music." Indeed, this prodigal son from Queens' Lefrak Housing Projects has emerged as a thug supreme, his oft-barked "What what!" the prelude to verbal violence that manifests itself so often in his songs. On this, his second solo album, Noreaga supplies more of the same thugged-out entertainment he did on N.O.R.E.: gruff rhymes about street life and hustling laid over the shiny studio tracks of gangsta pop's current cadre of producers, including the Neptunes, Trackmasterz, EZ-Elpee, and Swizz Beats. As he admits in his confession above, Noreaga isn't about to smash new ground, but he is very good at what he does. Unlike the throngs of wannabes, he doesn't have to front too hard to convince you of his tough-bred attitude--real or not, he's mastered a sort of psychotic sincerity that comes through on "Wethuggedout," "What the F*ck Is Up?", and the surprisingly personal "Sometimes." --Oliver Wang
One Half of the Capone N Noreaga Team Returns with his Second Solo Album. Includes Guests Appearances by Missy Elliot and Juvenile. "on No" Remixed by Karl 'k-gee' Gordon, Writer/Producer for all Saints.
