A pretty good cd by Jaci
Well, Jaci Velasquez is one who's voice you cannot comprehend. Even though Heavenly Place isn't as good as her next self titled album, you can't blame her. She was just getting started. Her voice is way beyond her years, and this cd proves it."If This World" Most of Jaci's songs you'll find ethier have a na na, doo do, or la la starting it or in it. Take for example "We Can make a Diffrence" and "Glory". Anyhow, this song had a good message. Pretty ok.
"Un Lugar Celestial(A Heavenly Place)" I love this song! I'll put it as #3. Her voice is great on it. Great title.
"Flower in the Rain" In the beginning of the song, it probebly sounds pretty dull. But amazily it turns into a pretty ballad. One of her great slow songs.
"On My Knees" This is #1. The musical background on this one is amazing. They shaped this song perfectly for Jaci.
"Shelter" Her duet with Chris Rodriguez on this one is pretty good. Their harmony is on the edge and catchy.
"Baptize Me" A good baptism song. I like the chorus. I also like how she stops and talks in the middle.
"We Can Make a Diffrence" I really like how Jaci goes off on the end. A good beat to this song.
"I Promise" This is #2. Very pretty song. I love the lyrics to this one.
"We will Overcome" Not much to this song
"Thief of Always" I like the beginning to this song. A good song for her voice.
Jaci Valesquez will go far with her beautiful and very talented voice.
A Heavenly Place is awesome!
Jaci Velasquez' CD, "Heavenly Place" is really good. It has so many wonderful songs. They are: If This World, Un Lugar Celestial (A Heavenly Place), Flower in the Rain, On My Knees, Shelter, Baptize Me, We Can Make A Difference, I Promise, We Will Overcome, and Thief of Always. Jaci's beautiful voice is reflected perfectly in the 10 songs on this album. From the more upbeat songs "If this World" and "Shelter" to the slow songs "Flower in the Rain" "On My Knees" and "Thief of Always," Jaci reminds us of God's everlasting love and how we can make the world a better place. If you have never heard this album, you need to, because it is SO awesome! Perhaps the Minister of Music at my church said it best, "Jaci keeps putting out more and more songs, and they're always so good!" Well, I definitely agree. You need to get this album!

UN LUGAR
QUISIERA TENER UN LUGAR CERCAS DE TI,I WOULD RECOMEND THIS CD AND ALL OF THEM.
It's hard to fathom a 16-year-old singing with the presence that Jaci Velasquez has on Heavenly Place. Then again, she is no ordinary teenager. This 1996 debut by the gifted Christian-pop star landed numerous awards and was the fastest-selling solo debut in Christian-music history. It won't take long to figure out why when you hear "On My Knees," "Shelter," and "Un Lugar Celestial," which showcase Velasquez's voice as being mature beyond her years. There's a depth and richness that emanates from each carefully recorded track, thanks in large part to producer Mark Heimermann. The young Velasquez blends and transcends each aural backdrop provided. You want cool? Check out the mystical "Baptize Me," easily one of the best CCM tracks of 1996. --Michael Lyttle
