They Started This Gangsta Shhh...
N.W.A.'s greatest hits is a must have if you're a fan of gangsta rap. You can see today how many rappers who are inspired by this group. Favorite songs has to be "Gangsta Gangsta", "Straigth Outta Compton", "Express Yourself", "If It Ain't Ruff", "I Ain't Tha 1" and the list goes on. If you're a true rap fan you probarly already got this or "Straigth Outta Compton" , but if you're new to hip-hop this is a great album to get to know Eazy-E (R.I.P.), MC Ren, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and DJ Yella.
All of them had succesful careers after N.W.A. splitted, maybe not Yella but his album is definitely worth checking out, he shows some love to Eazy-E. Ice Cube wrote most of the songs (from Straigth Outta Compton). Dr. Dre is one of hip-hop most important producers rigth now. I've said enough. Just get it, if you don't got it. Gangsta rap at it's best. pure class.
This is pure Gangsta!
Before "Dr. Dre", "Eazy-E", and "Ice Cube", there was "N.W.A.". Of course this group included all those guys, and "M.C. Ren" and "D.J. Yella". They were probably more responsible for starting the "gangsta rap" thing, than even that pimp "Ice-T". This collection misses a few tracks, but it does include "Straight Outta Compton", "Express Yourself", "I Ain't The One", and "Gangsta Gangsta". Plus the huge hit "F*** Tha Police", which was pretty controvertial and hardcore when it came out. Overall it's a great sampling of "N.W.A.", and a real sign of the times. It'll go great with your "Public Enemy" and "Run-DMC" albums.

THIS COLLECTION IS ALMOST PERFECT, BUT, LIKE ALMOST EVERY OTHER GREATEST HITS CD, IT'S MISSING A FEW TRACKS. MISSING IN THIS COLLECTION ARE ''8 BALL'', ''DOPEMAN'' AND ''SA PRIZE''. OTHER THAN THAT, THIS IS A GREAT COLLECTION FROM THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS GROUP. IF WE'RE LUCKY, WE MIGHT HEAR A NEW ALBUM FROM N.W.A ONE DAY. THIS VERSION OF THE GREATEST HITS CD HAS THE 2 N.W.A REUNION TRACKS, WHICH ARE ''HELLO'' AND ''CHIN CHECK''.

for one,there's not many of their hits on it.second,there are tracks with them just talkin bout some retarded sh*t(it ain't even funny!).last,they don't have AT LEAST 4 songs that anyone would see as bein hits on it.
OLD SCHOOL RAP AT ITS BEST.
This is a real good nwa compilation because it has many of their classic hits.I dont really listen to hip hop but this was a very original group with alot of good rappers like eazy e and ice cube.It may be missing a couple of songs but its good and worth getting.
Remastered and Includes Two Bonus Tracks "Chin Check" and "Hello" featuring Eminem.
