Being a huge fan of Vertical Horizon, I bought this CD blindly. The only track I had heard a clip of was "Inside" off the Vertical Horizon website.

If you are at all a fan of Vertical Horizon's other titles, especially "Everything You Want" than this is a CD for you. The music style is very similar. I can honestly say that there isn't one bad song on this CD. It will be in my CD player for weeks.

A few surprises are "Forever" and "When You Cry". In my opinion, the best tracks on the CD. But they're all good. If you're a VH fan, don't pass this one up, and don't download the music either - do these boys a favor and purchase the album.

Not that different, but worth the money
If you liked the previous album (Everything You Want), you will most like like this album after a few listens. The most notable song is the last track, Underwater, which is the most original, hypnotic, and appealing song of the album.

There is no in your face "We Are" or "Shackled" in this album, nor is there a song quite as sad as "Best I Ever Had". Many songs are of the quality that "Miracle" was on the previous album. This is more than adequate for you to buy this CD.

I would appreciate a new Live album incorporating the latest songs as well as some old greats, maybe a double album. Vertical Horizon is a superior live band (as anyone having seen them or heard "Live Stages" can tell) and they should capitalize on their abilities. Until then, this album should satiate your need for more Vertical Horizon.

Finally, in rank of quality for Vertical Horizon albums so you can understand my basis of opinion: Live Stages, Everything You Want, Go, Running on Ice, and There and Back Again.
I was very skeptical whether VH could equal the 'Everything You Want' CD. I even held back for a while not rushing to get the 'Go' item. This compilation is really good! There is not one song on here that I would not recommend! If you like the any of the great songs on the EYW CD. You should absolutely get this one! This proves the talent of VH!

Everything You Want
I would rate Vertical Horizon's Go CD 2nd to Everything You Want. From my point of view it just didn't seem to be as creative musically as their previous recording. That's not to say that their Go CD is bad, but it just doesn't quite measure up to Everything You (might) Want. On it's own merits Go is good music and an enjoyable listening experience.
This album is as good, if not better than EYW. I personally found it to be better. Great Rock music, with a pop-friendly feel to it. Very melodic stuff, and all songs here are potential hits. Once again, all songs are written by Matthew Scannell. And he did a marvelous job from track 1 to 11. Extremely enjoyable and beautiful album
