This cd is probably one of the best cd's I ever heard it has dark ass Hip-Hop beats and the most incredible lyricism I've ever heard. before Eyedea, I thought Rakim was the best lyricist but this kat makes Rakim look like M.C.Hammer. Eyedea has the illest philosophical flows in the universe this cd blew my mind away I think Eyedea is the best lyricist in this universe. Get this cd immediately don't hesitate it's more than your money's worth also try to cop Eyedea and abilities other cd called E&A...
eyedeas and abilities
This is good rap. Not like nelly or chingy. This is the way rap should be! My favorite song is big shots. You don't hear this music on mainstream radio or t.v. It's not like those pop rappers.
definition of dope
ive been listining to eyedea for about 4 years now, since i was in grade 9. i didnt really get into him untill i first saw scribble jam and saw that hes truly one of the sickest mc's of this generation. When i first heard "first born" my expectations were very high but it didnt dissapoint, in fact i was even more in love with eyedeas work than before. this c.d. shows so much depth, wisdom, and raw talent that it is, to this day, one of my favorites along with amospheres lucy ford, sage francis's personal journals and sweatshop unions local 604.
Sick
I frist heard of eyedea & abilities on tony hawks pro skater 4 ( boreing game good soundtrack) i thought big shots was alright so i check out the cd. this cd is SICK it is a must have for any underground rap collecter. 1 of my favorites is on this i stand. tite track.
Hip-hop as you know it, is ever-changing...
"First Born," a perfect title for a new style of hip hop that offers intelligence and a new avenue for thought. This cd has some ill tracks on it. Thoughts ranging from dissing MTV to a fish living in a bowl of rocks, mind-expansion is at a premium on this album. Eyedea is well, only the sickest MC out there right now. A voice that is appealing to the listener and flow that is smooth and flawless. This cd, made in 2001 was so ahead of its time that it has the feel of a current release. If you are a fan of Atmosphere, Sole or Alias, you will feel this album to a maximum. If you are new to the hip hop game, you need not look further for the best that hip hop has to offer.
