One of Gangsta Rap's finest...
This one comes close to MC Eiht's best album ever- his debut "We Come Strapped". On his second one, The Compton Psycho comes out with some real hardcore album, nuthin' but killin' and thuggin' on this one. The beats are great - made by Blackjack, Prodeje, DJ Slip and MC Eiht. Eiht raps with a lot of emotion and rage on this one and his story-telling talents are some of the best in the rap industry. You really get a vivid picture of life of a G in Comption. The necassary hard disses against his old rival (and once Blood Gang member) DJ Quik are included on a few songs... The album starts off amazing- the first 11 or 12 songs. But after that, I start getting tired, because in the last 4 or 5 songs, they just weren't creative enough with the beats. It still is one of the greatest gangsta rap albums of all time and anything Eiht did since, hasn't come even close to this one. If you're down with real hardcore, you should get it. No radio/MTV tracks on this one. :)
Must Own CD
This is a must own album, this has gotta be Mc Eiht's best. His last album "We Come Strapped" is also excellent & some peoples favourite Eiht album, but this one has dope tracks like "Collect My Stripes" "Set Trippin" & "Def Wish IV." Let me put it this way, "Death Threats" is in my top 25 of must own rap albums.

End of the Great Eiht
Eiht had a string of three classic albums (music to drive by, we come strapped and death threatz) after this album he made the wack last man standing (although he claims he was rushed by epic to do the album) and now that he's on hoo-banging, his stuff is just plain average with about 6 songs on each of his albums with hoo-banging sounding good. I still listen to his three classics, but have sold his three previous albums. He is supposed to realease a CMW album in the near future on his own label (half ounce records) so let's see if he can get back to old form with new producers, his flow has always been tight it's just the beats that need work.
Eiht The Gangsta King
"Death Threatz", "We Come Strapped" and "Music To Drive By" were Eiht's best albums. (Some of hiphop's best), you don't need super lyrics (not that his lyrics were bad) for a great gangster album, you just need to flow with incredible beats (found here), that's why I gave it 5 stars. Sadly this was and forever will be Eiht's last DOPE album. (unless he leaves hoo-banging)
another wasted album
this album was worse than we come strapped in some ways.his production was better to me and thats what saved his album.it still doesn't take away from the fact that its still wack.his lyrics were horrible for example run what the hell is mo drama fo yo mama mo drama mo shootin mo buckin mo slicin mo dicin mo what ever this wack.then he talks about quick in every song quik aint botherd with him.eiht lyrics on this album was horrible i dont know what the hell he was thinking
