made men -classic limited edition
This is the best rap album I have heard in a long time. Its content should please everyone in some respects with as many different style cuts that it has. My favorites are numbers 2,6,9,11,17-19. I recommend this album to everyone. It seems a shame it did not blow up larger on the Charts becuse it surpassses most albums out there in the last 5 years easily.
I feel cheated
So I read this magazine in 1999 who gave this album 4 1/2 mics (you know what mag I'm talking about). So I'm thinking, with that high rating, this album should be the bomb, right? I listened to the album, and it's not that the album was garbage (because the production by Hangmen 3 was pretty decent and the guest stars saved the album from mediocrity). It's their connection with the "Sauce" that got me. You all heard the story: Dave Mays, who worked for that mag, owned this group and that's why their pictures appeared nowhere but in that magazine. They seem more like manufactured artists than real rappers now (especially the one with the solo career, Benzino, who can't rap for nothing). Even Master P outshined them on "Deja Vu". Now I can't even listen to this album anymore because I feel tricked into buying this album. So the lesson today, kids, is to not always trust a rating system to see if a product is legit. Speaking of that, I noticed that the only people who gave Made Men and Benzino high ratings are from their hometown, Boston.

Sticky Situation ft. Montell Jordanare all fire just to name a few. The only problem with the album was it had too many skits and it was too long. Almost 80 minutes. It literaly was 1 or 2 songs away from being able to be sold as a double disc. Even some of the greatest rappers ever had problems dropping a album with this long and with this many tracks(Jay-Z for example with The Blueprint 2). If they would have trimmed it down to about 60 minutes with the best 17 or 18 tracks it would have been a CLASSIC!

no good, benzino is not very great dont wast your money on this album buy something worth while like The Black Album or Beg For Mercy.
Why waste your time
So, reading the other reviews I felt compelled to add my thoughts. Someone said earlier, glad to see someone from bean town getting props. What the heck dude? Mr. Lif. There are so many awesome artists from this area, don't spend your money on a band whose career has been made through disses. I don't like Eminem, but Benzino and the Made Men, have 'Made' themselves by jacking others fame. I like the guest work, but the guests are better than the group itself. Get there stuff. Guests can be useful but they usually show that a band is lacking talent when overused. I listened to this album and wished I could get my money back. It's not even worth selling, I wouldn't want to screw anyone else.
