Crazy lyricist.
Positives: E-40 has a style like no other. It's a very different experience to listen to him rap. I feel like I need a Pentium chip in my head to process what he's saying sometimes. Luckily, he includes the lyrics with the CD and slows it down a little for us sometimes. There are a few tracks that are pretty cool and have something special about them. "Seasoned" is a pretty funny track about how poor E-40 used to be. The way he puts it is what makes it really tight. "Ghetto Celebrity" on the other hand, includes 40's usual talk about drugs but the basic chorus gets my attention. It's the best chorus you'll hear on any E-40 album and with the cool music behind it, it comes out well. 40 makes sure to include a lot of features so your head doesn't explode while listening to the CD. Rappers like Jayo Felony, Fat Joe, & Too Short will give you your daily dose of more normal high quality rap. Negatives: The production could be better. It's hard to tell what would work well with E-40's style but some of these tracks aren't too great in the production department. 40 could slow things down a little more often. His flow is impressive but understanding counts for something too. His album, The Element of Surprise, showed he has more potential than this and I hope his newest release gets him the superstar status he deserves.
Cause He Can!
Why does E-40 keep making these sick albums? Cause He Can! Man I tell ya, this is one of E-40's best albums, maybe even THEE best. Not too many artists can match E-40's style, as a matter of fact no one can spit it like Charlie Hu$tle. Every song on this CD is tight the beats are crazy, this is definitly the best production ever on an E-40 album. And of course 40-Watta comes with his ever-so-sick, one-of-a-kind rapping style. For all of you who say that E-40 raps too fast, he's not rappin' too fast yall just listenin' too slow (that's real). He even puts the lyrics in the CD booklet for all you squares out there. Like I was saying all the tracks are sick and there's no skits, so you don't have to skip anything. The songs that really stand out are; L.I.Q., ...They Nose, Seasoned, Earl That's Yo' Life, Rules & Regulations, Big Ballin' With My Homies, and Ghetto Celebrity. There are also a lot of great guest appearances by Jayo Felony, C-Bo, Sauce Money, Fat Joe, Cash Money Millionairs, and of course The Click. I'm from the Bay Area and that's probably why I like E-40 so much, but I like all kinds of rap. It just seems to me that people are always saying that there are too many copy cats in the rap game. Well, if you want something original E-40 is your man!

Took a chance, not dissapointed
As a listener of mainly rock and metal to start, then later including electronic, jazz, and rap, this entire disc flows from one end to the other smoothly in my player, my first from E-40 but it only took a couple of spins to grow on me too.
I'm not sure what all the fuss is about his style though - I'd agree he sometimes speeds it up, but find the consistency of rhythm, bass and beats throughout this record great!
