Featuring all his major solo hits along with some of the Commodores (he was the lead vocalist) biggest hits as well this CD is a must for any music fan as it higlights great songwriting and if you love love songs there is no way you can do without this - buy it now.

Lionel's vocals show emotion in almost all his songs and everyone is touching in a way and you can feel the pain at times. Prime examples of this are Still, Truly and the phenomenally huge Hello. Other higlights include the more dancey Say You Say Me and possibly his finest achievement All Night Long which is a great dance tune. My favourite however is Three Times A Lady as it has to be one of the most beautiflu songs ever.

This man was a genius and this CD proves it and i highly recommend it to everybody.

A great buy!
[One CD, with a running time of 50 minutes] This collection includes the very best of the golden voice of Lionel Richie. Featuring such greats as All Night Long and Three Times A Lady, it's a real treat. (Actually, I could have just listed all the songs, they're all great!) My missing favorite would be Dancing On The Ceiling, but that's a minor quibble. The paperwork contains some great black-and-white pictures, along with the words to the songs. This is a great buy!

A Great Overview
Lionel Richie always had a nice style back in the day. The man had an undeniable ear for nice melodies and soulful arrangements. This 1992 album 'Back To Front' is basically a collection of highlights from The Commodores 70s back catalogue, as well as some choice pics from his 3 solo albums of the 80s.

3 brand new tracks kicks things off, 'Do It To Me' is an upbeat sweeping number with some awesome sax work, whilst the big hit 'My Destiny' is Richie On Fire! The 3rd new cut is 'Love Oh Love', more of a mushy number for the ladies. The 3 new tracks showed Richie surprisingly still had it, great soul and awesome melodies. The remainder of the album you all know. The familiar cuts, all classics, all great to listen to whether you need a pick me up or if your already in a great mood. The better version of this album to buy is the UK version as it includes 'Dancing On The Ceiling' and 'Stuck On You', two unmissable numbers on a Richie collection.

Overall this is a great album for a casual fan who just wants a CD of Lionels grooves, but also a more serious fans for the new material. Lionel never recaptured his form after this album, however he did come back in 1996 with the 'Louder Than Words' album, which did have a few nice cuts. These days I wish Lionel would hang up the mic but judging by how his ex-wife wants to stick him, i don't think he can afford to.

The best of Lionel
Wonderful songs, didn't know Lionel before but in this first choice also the best and also testing the other cd-songs i'm proud to say i have the best related to. Richard Marx and Lionel Richie are really my top favourites singers.

Stuck on you, Say you, say me, Endless love ( duet with Diana Ross ), just great.

One great song after another!
As a songwriter and performer Lionel Richie is right up there with Michael Jackson. In his hey-day he was one of the most popular singers on the face of the planet. A ten-year hiatus has decreased his international stardom, and today he is not as popular as, say, Michael Jackson. But this superb album of his greatest hits proves beyond a doubt that he belongs among the best. The entire cd is just one long string of no. 1 hits - most people will probably know them once they hear them. The songs are great, an abundance of singable tunes. They may get a bit syrupy at times, but that is to be expected from an R&B artist.
Most of the songs are ballads, but there are also some good pop/rock songs.
Popular music just doesn't get better than this!
