Pop goes POP - a track listing
Amazon has listed all the tracks here, but they've left out which bands appear on which song. If it's noted elsewhere, I didn't see it. So, for your enjoyment, here's the breakdown of Iggy Pop's "Skull Ring" collaborations. If I've left anyone out, leave a note. (Also, check out the "FatherF***" album by Peaches for another good Iggy Pop-Peaches duet):Little Electric Chair (with The Stooges)
Perverts In The Sun
Skull Rings (with The Stooges)
Superbabe
Loser (with The Stooges)
Private Hell (with Green Day)
Little Know It All (with Sum 41)
Whatever
Dead Rock Star (with The Stooges)
Rock Show (with Peaches)
Here Comes The Summer
Motor Inn (with Peaches)
Inferiority Complex
Supermarket (with Green Day)
Till Wrong Feels Right
Blood On My Cool/Nervous Exhaustion (hidden track)
ten years after
after 1977 iggy has made only a few records that are remarkable and will stay timeless:
new values (1979)
zombie birdhouse (1982)
(and at last)
american caesar (1993),
each recording with its own experimental style. so iggy 'I need more' of your experimental sounds and visions!
play the caesar... and forget the stupid, ill-hearted hard rock
play the punk...
MORE RAW POWER
... If you like the rougher, rawer side of Iggy - think Fun House era Stooges - you will get a kick out of American Caesar. Great loud distorted guitar throughout. Like most of Iggy's solo material, its an uneven platter, but the good outweighs the bad on this hard hitter. Three and a half stars I say - would be a solid four but the lyrics sometimes delve into the moronic.
Stinks
Come on! Who are these people givnig this thing 5 stars? This album is really weak, much like most of Iggy's stuff since 1977.
hahahaha, thow them to the Lions!!!!
I saw Iggy on this tour at the Warfield. His energy and self abuse never cease to amaze me. Very few artists actually live the torture they sing about. It's why Iggy continues to be so vital.
