a1 album, wicked
the a1 album is fantasic and its there third one in the uk. Its a self written album with each song written by ben, christian, mark and paul with help from the producer of the album Mike Hedges. All the tracks are cool and really catchy and after hearing the album you will have loads of favourite songs. For example the smash hit caught in the middle. The make it good album is a new direction in music for the boys which has turned out to be a great success for the lads. Its well worth the money and a great buy. Well done lads !
They Made it Good!
At first glance, one might assume that this is just another boyband trying to squeeze their way into the American market, but don't let your assumptions prevent you from giving this album a good listen. In one word, this disc is amazing. A small compilation of their three U.K. albums, a1 has done something here that no other band in recent history has done - produced good, acoustic driven songs that showcase their amazing songwriting ability as well as their very smooth, clear voices. The album starts off with their debut single, "Caught in the Middle," and continues on to my personal favorite, "Make it Good" - a modern rock ballad about turning your life around when you think you've hit the bottom. "Everytime" is the power ballad of the album, with beautiful harmonies and chorus any other band would kill to call their own. The CD's closing song "Same Old Brand New You" is the most pop-sounding song on the album and will definitely get your feet tapping. A1 not only writes all their own music, but they play it as well. This "boy band" (if you want to call them that) truly breaks the mold. Check out this album - you won't be disappointed.
'Caught' Out There
Debuting with a collection of seven songs, a1 made a lame attempt at making themselves big here in the United States. The seven tracks, pulled from their three previously issued international albums - 'Here We Come', 'The A List', and 'Make It Good', are pretty much a mixed bag.
Three tracks are solid. I'll give these boys that, they can produce some nice pop tunes. The two opening cuts, 'Caught In The Middle' and 'Make It Good', are both highlights. The former was a single release, but failed to set the charts ablaze. The other track that works well is the album closing 'Same Old Brand New You'. It's boy band pop at it's finest.
The other four tracks are an entirely different story, however. They're dull. Very dull. Bland pop ballads that any act could have sung, quite honestly. That leaves the album with a poor ratio of three to four. Four duds heavily outweigh the three good tunes.
Sadly, this band won't have another chance to break America. The third a1 album flopped quite badly over in Britain, leading to the group's break-up and the loss of their recording deal. To bad, I guess, but if this is all they wanted show us, maybe they didn't deserve to break in over here. Unexciting.
British Boyband Shines America!
A1 had come a long way in the music business since 1999. Their debut CD "Here We Come" had four top ten hit in the UK and a huge success all over the world. The second cd "The A List", a more R&B music style that had earmed two number one songs all over the UK. Finally their latest cd "Make It Good", they went to another direction to a more pop rock music. They played more instruments in this cd. With the Hit single "Caught In The Middle", A1 continues to further their carrer with their unique talent and love for music. A1 is not just another boyband, they don't stick to the same formula like the other boybands. Each album they released sound diferrent. It is not easy to break in America with a pop music but A1 could break all the barriers because of their raw talent. With seven selected songs from their prevoius cds. It gives us a taste of what A1 has got to offer America. A1 could do it all, they could play instruments, dance, sing, and write. What more can you ask.
You need to have the new a1 album
I have been an a1 fan from the beginning and I have supported them all the way, from the very first single that they brought out "be the first to believe" i fell in love with them speshly ben. I will now give you four reasons to become an a1 fan:
1. they have there own style in songs and dont try to copy any one elses
2. they are all very talented musicians and they play all their own instrument on the album
3. a1 are like no other boy band in the world
4. a1 are all george and have brilliant voices
Now if that hasnt given you any reason to become an a1 fan then you seriously need to listen to the album beleive me you DO NOT know what you are missing
