Not nearly what I expected.
Sorry, Cold. This album just does NOT cut it because I unfortunately bought THIS version instead of the explicit.
When you're listening to the songs, you just can't help but notice the irritating edits they do on the cuss words. This was a total waste of my [money]. The ONLY songs I like are "Just Got Wicked", "She Said", No One, and "Witch". The rest all [are bad]!
If you're into REAL hard rock, look to [other bands].
Best album in years
One of the best albums I have bought in years is Colds "Thirty Ways to Bleed on Stage". I only wish that more bands could be like this and give as much of a great vib as Cold. With their great lyrics and the greatest bass I have heard in a long time and an intense message. This is definitely on of the greatest albums available to anyone. From Just Got Wicked all the way to Bleed you just want to sit and listen to what Scooter has to say next. If you buy any album this year it has to be Colds "Thirty Ways to Bleed on Stage"
Cold = Heavy and Melodic
The new Cold album has some heavier tracks like "Just Got Wicked" and "End Of The World" and more melodic tracks like "She Said" and "No One." This album has a lot of catchy songs but the songs also have substance. I think this album is just a hint of what is to come from Cold.
Cold Just Got Wicked with 13 Ways to Bleed...
When one stops to think of Florida, usually images of oranges, tropical beaches, and unrelenting sunshine are ammong the first things to come to mind. Yet as a band hailing from Florida, nothing could be more suiting then to stand as the antithesis of the popular perception.Cold is dark. Cold is brooding. Cold is a totally alien blend of Tool nihilism and Nirvana melody wrapped in barbed wire. They are the story of the anti-hero who ceases to die; whos willingness to burn alive for the price of love speaks to a generation with such unrelenting passion it reminds us all that while some may be living just to die, there are a tragic few who are dying just to live. Cold is the incarnation of that tragedy.
With the release of their Sophomore effort, 13 Ways to Bleed On Stage, Cold pours anthem after anthem of churning melody and distorted guitars, fueled by lead singer Scoot Ward's bitter crooning, out onto the table in the tradition of a mad man's confessional. From the opening rawness of the first track entitled Just Got Wicked, to the sweet despondency of the acoustic last-stand entitled Bleed, when Cold finally leaves you, it will leave you awed. It would leave you inspired. And it will leave you Cold.
And through the darkness of it all, there is the underlying message that may elude the masses. A message of hope: that there are some things still worth dying for.
